The Canadian Engineering Competition, known as CEC, is an annual student run initiative that brings together 150+ of the country’s brightest engineering students. The competitors must first win in an intra-university competition then achieve top placement in the ensuing regional competitions (Western, Ontario, Atlantic, and Quebec Regions). Ryerson University was chosen as the host of the 2018 Canadian Engineering Competition.
Since its inception in 1985, the Canadian Engineering Competition has tested the skills of engineering students in 7 categories. Beginning this year, Ryerson University as introduced an 8th category: Programming. Each competition category at CEC challenges its participants to expand their frame of reference and to identify solutions to problems experienced in the engineering industry.
In addition to the design competitions, the competitors will have the opportunity to connect with our corporate sponsors at our industry fair.
We invite you to be a part of this immersive experience that will inspire our next generation of engineers!
