Since 1985, the Canadian Engineering Competition (CEC) has brought together 200 of the country’s brightest engineering students to compete in one of eight categories, ranging from consulting to programming. Each competition category at CEC challenges its participants to expand their frame of reference and develop unique solutions to problems experienced in the engineering industry. In partnership with the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students, the University of New Brunswick will host the 37th Canadian Engineering Competition, breaking new ground and persevering through unexpected circumstances to host CEC online for the first time in the history of the competition.
Only the most innovative and creative students qualify to attend CEC, as each team must first succeed at their respective university competition and then achieve top placement at the ensuing regional competitions (Western, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Regions). Through live translation, CEC facilitates equal opportunity for all competitors to compete in their choice of either official languages.
In addition to the design competitions, competitors will have the opportunity to connect with our sponsors through a variety of networking opportunities, including a virtual career fair and interactive sessions.
We invite you to join us in creating this unique experience that will surely inspire the next generation of Canadian engineers.
