Since 1985, the Canadian Engineering Competition (CEC) has brought together 200 of the country’s brightest engineering students to compete in one of eight categories, ranging from consulting to programming. Each competition category at CEC challenges its participants to develop innovative solutions to problems experienced in the engineering industry.
In partnership with the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students, the University of New Brunswick will host the 38th annual Canadian Engineering Competition. After the pandemic forced the 2021 competition online for the first time in its history, our team at UNB is looking forward to hosting this year’s competition in person in beautiful downtown Fredericton.
Only the most innovative and creative students qualify to attend CEC, as each team must first be selected at the university level and then achieve top placement at their respective regional competitions (Western, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Engineering Competitions) to attend. Through live interpretation, CEC facilitates an equal opportunity for all competitors to compete in the official language of their choice.
In addition to the design competitions, competitors will have the opportunity to connect with our sponsors through a variety of networking opportunities, including a career fair, interactive sessions, and social events.
We invite you to join us in creating this unique experience that continues to inspire the next generation of Canadian engineers.
